How to use the atlas
- Choose a body view or open the hand detail view.
- Search for a point or filter by meridian.
- Select a point to read its code, pinyin name and publication status.
- Open the full English guide when it is available.
Understanding point labels
The letters identify a meridian or vessel and the number identifies a point in that sequence. For example, LI4 is Hegu on the Large Intestine Meridian. The number is not a treatment strength or priority.
Understanding location measurements
Cun is a proportional unit used in point location, not a fixed inch or centimetre measurement. Written locations combine anatomical landmarks with proportional measurements.
Standards and map positions
Point locations in this atlas follow the Chinese national standard GB/T 12346—2021. International point codes follow WHO nomenclature. Map symbols and meridian pathways are schematic representations for learning; they are not a separate anatomical standard.
